Stop Funding UNRWA

Please see the following item from the Simon Wiesenthal Center:

THE UN SHOULD AID LEGITIMATE REFUGEES NOT ABET TERRORISM

Join the Simon Wiesenthal Center in urging the United States and Canada to suspend funding of the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA) pending an investigation into their hiring of members of the terrorist organization Hamas.

Recently UNRWA director Peter Hansen openly admitted that members of Hamas are among the organization's personnel stating, "I don't see that as a crime. Hamas is a political organization and not every one of its members is a militant and we do not do political vetting and exclude people from one persuasion as against another. We demand of our staff, whatever their political persuasion is, that they behave in accordance with UN standards and norms for neutrality."

This is clearly a dangerous situation that is out of control. The U.S and Canada, who together account for over a third of UNRWA's annual, multimillion dollar budget, need to ascertain to what extent their taxpayers' humanitarian contributions for legitimate refugees have been diverted to abet terrorists and their agenda.

Click here to send your protest directly to U.S. Secretary of State Colin Powell and Canadian Foreign Minister Pierre Pettigrew demanding that all contributions to

UNRWA be immediately suspended pending an investigation into the matter.
