Please send a copy of the following VIPAC letter to the president, Vice President, and other officials at the addresses listed below. Use a subject line such as: Dear Mr. President: Many American presidents, while campaigning for office, have promised to move the American Embassy in Israel from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem. They have done so as a sign of their recognition that Jerusalem is the legitimate capital of the Jewish State. However, no president has yet dared to go beyond promises during election campaigns, out of fear of Islamist opposition. But you Mr. President, are different. Your experience with Israel's murderous neighbors is unique. No president before you had to endure during his term of office more than 3,000 Americans killed by Islamist terrorists, as you did on September 11, 2001. Your presidential experience with Islamist terror is unprecedented, and therefore I hope your response will be unprecedented as well, and that you move America's Embassy in Israel to Jerusalem immediately. Jerusalem has been Israel's capital since the days of King David, over 3,000 years ago. It was Israel's kings, Israel's prophets, and Israel's Holy Temples that, with the Bible's mandate and Divine decree, made Jerusalem a focus of sacred aspirations for all mankind. Moving America's Embassy to Jerusalem now, and declaring Jerusalem as the exclusive and undivided capital of the Jewish State, would be the proper action for you to take. The justice of such a move is amply supported by the historical, Biblical, ethical, and political record. Please Mr. President, do not be intimidated by the Islamists who wish harm to America and Israel. Demonstrate to all that you fear no man, but instead respect the Biblical imperative which made Jerusalem Israel's eternal capital. Please move America's Embassy to Jerusalem immediately, and thereby encourage all people who have suffered from Islamist terror to trust your leadership. Sincerely, To give added impact to your email, please also send hard copy letters by snail mail, using an envelope and a stamp, by clicking on printer icon and signing your name with a pen, to: The Hon. lleana Ros-Lehtinen Chair The Hon.
